It's made by Indians, who are not exactly known for subtlety.

Ak, shhh....we're outnumbered here (its the second time this week you've said that!)....

I am stating a well-formed and informed opinion. I do not think our Indian friends here will begrudge me this reasonable assessment.

Hey, it's not necessarily a bad thing! We pride in excess :)

But such message should not be subtle, it should hit the target audience hard and should leave a tingling feeling in your stomach, I think works perfectly fine.

Cinema should never be propaganda. Watch the news for that.

So then people should stop making documentaries too (Michael Moore will be out of a job :) )...there is no harm in using a medium of communication to get your message across, doesnt matter what the message is.

There is no place for "message" in cinema. Cinema is about ideas.

Requiem for a Dream had a really strong message. Even if it was unintended (or maybe it wasn't?). Don't do drugs! And that's just one example of a movie with a message, intentional or otherwise.

Requiem for a Dream had no message. It was not about drugs. It was about Aspirations.

I felt it had a message. I really strong one. It had a really strong effect on me. I was a kid then, and it had just released (I think).

Message or not, drugs or not, Requiem was about (and I've said this before) addictions.

Here is Audi's message...

Great ad, but more overwhelming than the message itself is its creativeness.
